As an accomplished competitor, teacher and performer, Laura Anderson continues to ignite audience’s senses with her sharp and energetic approach to dance. With multiple international and national titles under her belt, including 1st place in the 2012 ACEKI World Salsa Championships, 1st place at the 2011 Tropicana Australian Salsa Championships and as a member of the 2011 Australian Salsa Open’s winning Team, she continually proves to be a powerhouse of energy, motivation and technique.
Laura began her dance training at a very early age, studying the RAD ballet syllabus as well as Jazz and Contemporary. Into her teens, she began Ballroom dancing lessons after being inspired by her Grandmother (a former competitor). One of the highlights of her dancing career has been competing at the Blackpool dancing festival, the worlds most recognised Ballroom competition, representing Australia in the Professional division of the 10-dance component. Recently, she underwent a year of professional development with dance legend, Robert Sturrock.
Now with a focus on authentic Latin dance styles, Laura shares her passion and wealth of knowledge through educating a new generation of dance fanatics that have fallen in love, like her, with the music and culture of South America.
